Kim Fox is a celebrated
singer/songwriter from Los Angeles whose stunning
songs have been described as mischievous, peculiar
and childlike. Her 1997 debut CD "Moon Hut"
(Dreamworks) won the hearts of critics and pop
fans all over the world. Now, on her Franklin
Castle debut, she takes the listener on a musical
journey from piano-based musings bathed in strings
to pop nuggets sparked by dance beats. While "Return
To Planet Earth" retains the orchestral pop
whimsy of "Moon Hut", it also exhibits
a more mature emotional and nostalgic introspection.
The album was produced by our own Linus Of Hollywood
and features guest appearances by Jon Brion, Roger
Manning (Beck/Jellyfish), Ben Eshbach (Sugarplastic),
Probyn Gregory (Wondermints/Brian Wilson), Margo
Guryan and many more. |
