The Mello Cads
promise to make you smile with their sexy blend
of soft pop, lounge, and swing. Fronted by LA
scenester David Ponak, the Cads mix some magically
crafted originals with covers of "records your
parents played all the time that you hate to admit
you loved. Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, Chris Montez,
Neil Hefti, Paul Williams. All great songs. Some
known, some not." When they perform, they always
deliver a fun and humorous show while exposing
the audience to some great songs that are rarely
heard in a live setting. "Soft As A Rock" is their
debut full-length CD, and features guest appearances
from Paul Williams, Nick Walusko and Probyn Gregory
(Brian Wilson/Wondermints), Kim Fox, Linus Of
